SHOT Wrap-Up
Another SHOT Show has come and gone and the bottom line is this: Slightly disappointing.
Obviously, when you spend a couple of days cruising through the booth of just about every outdoor company in existence, it's impossible to really analyze everything closely.
But I just didn't see anything really super-cool or innovative at this year's show. That doesn't mean there weren't some pretty sweet items -- we'll check those out in more detail soon -- but there wasn't anything that really jumped up and said "hey, I'm going to change the outdoor world."
Perhaps the economy played a role in forcing companies to pull back a bit on their marketing and development areas. It's hard to say.
That all said, there were certainly a few items that I'll share in the coming weeks. First, I need to unload all of these press kits and spend a few hours doing nothing but watching football and hanging with my kids.
