Alabama Gal Knocks One Down

Cool story submission.

This is my second year hunting and it's been pretty good. Last year I did get my first deer which was a little spike, but this season on 12-9-08 I decided to go sit in our blind we placed along the woods by the field behind our property. We noticed a few buck and doe prints that have been traveling through. I sat all morning and was about to give when this young buck came running out in the field from the woods. He ran around me out in the field so I had to stand up and turn around. Mu space was small so I was in an awkward position but I made my shot. He was a 6 point with a nice size body. I never got his weight though. The next day on 12-10-08 we went to Eufaula, Alabama to a hunting club we joined last year. I was set up on top of a hill looking down in a bottom. I decided to try this location and see what would happen. I spotted a doe that was easing up the bank beside me then a buck came out that was on her trail. Just before they entered the trees I made my shot. He was a 5 point. They may not be huge racks but I think not bad for a beginner.
