Kansas at First Blush
The turkey hunting went well and I was able to introduce a few Rios to a Winchester headache. The deer scouting was a bit less successful. I saw plenty of deer and plenty of sign -- but I didn't really pin down an area to hunt. I'll likely be hunting public land and I wasn't able to really get on the ground and see what it was like.
But I did see enough to tell me that Kansas will be a very cool place to hunt. I'll be dreaming about it for the next few months. Isn't that the coolest thing about our hunting passion? We always have something to look forward to, something to think about when we're stuck in traffic or sitting through yet another useless meeting.
I'll be in Kansas soon enough. And you know I'll share the story. Thanks for reading.
Tony Hansen
