Water Query
Question: I own 250 acres in Young County, Newcastle, Texas on the Brazos River. I'm considering putting in a couple of water stations, because it get so dry in the summer. Will deer drink water that has been treated, such as county/co-op water?
Answer: I assume you mean water that's been treated with chlorine and/or fluoride? Deer likely prefer water that hasn't been treated, but I'm sure they'll drink it when it's the only water available. Before going to the expense of creating the water stations, you may want to contact your local agricultural extension agent for tips and guidelines.
