Question: What percentage of a buck's antler development potential comes from the doe's genes?
Answer: The doe contributes 50% of the genes to her son's antler potential, but she also contributes maternal care, milk quality, etc. So, she's actually responsible for more than 50% of what her sons have for antlers.
